Is de speedbox working with a Steps E6001 mid-engine ??
Basic tuning kit for e-bikes with Shimano motors
SpeedBox 1.0 enables to double the speed limit of an e-bike from the original 25 km/h to 50 km/h. When in use, the actual speed will appear on your display up to 22 km/h. Then the speed indicator gets stabilized and keeps on showing the same value even at higher speeds.
The motor’s electric assistance switches off when reaching 50 km/h.
If you don’t have lights on your bike, SpeedBox 1.0 will be constantly activated. If the lights are assembled on your bike, you will be able to turn on the tuning chip when you want. The SpeedBox 1.0 tuning kit will be activated on your bike’s control panel. If the lights are turned off, you can reach the speed of 50 km/h. The chip can be easily deactivated by turning on the lights.
When connecting the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easy for you. Disassembly of our tuning chip is just as easy. If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are planning to install SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 1 km before the chip is activated.

How can you run lights as well as the speedbox? What is the setting?
Hi George. You just must leave 'To Motor: Light' cable disconnected. Then the SpeedBox and light will be both activated.
So if I want to ride with my lights on then I have to disable the SpeedBox?
Not necessarily. You can also have lights and SpeedBox activated at the same time.
Hi again,,,,I have a speedbox from you, installed on shimano steps E6000 with Di2 automatic shifting.
SInce i install it i am using only manual shifting because automatic shifting changes the gears randomly ( chaotically) .
Before installing the speedbox the automatic shifting worked perfect.
When i ordered the product you advice me this speedbox that is working also with both E6000 with or without Di2.
Can you help me?
Because i see that for Steps E8000 Di2 you have a different speedbox then STeps E8000 no Di2
Do you have any new speedbox tested with DI2 ? Thanks
Hi there will this work with a bike with a Di2 electric shifter? I assume the auto shift would get confused but might work ok in manual shift mode?
Any plans to do a unit that will allow correct speed to be shown like the e8000 version?
Hi Gabe, e8000 and e6000 both display half of actual speed. Please tell me what kind of bike you have. Also tell me whether you have E6000 or E6002 mid drive.
