Reliable second generation tuning chip for e-bikes with Bosch motors.

SpeedBox 2.0 tuning chip enables you to suppress the speed limiter on your electric bike. After the chip is installed, your e-bike’s display will show real data, such as maximum and average speeds, daily mileage and cruising range.

How does SpeedBox 2.0 work?

The tuning kit can be activated directly on your bike’s display.  After pressing the WALK button, a value of 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) is displayed and from now on you will be able to ride at a speed of 40 km/h, 50 km/h and even more than 60 km/h.

To deactivate the tuning kit, press the WALK button again. The value of 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) will appear on your display and the speed limit will reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work the same as before installation of the chip.

SpeedBox was also designed for e-bikes that do not have a classic control unit with Walk button. In this case you can just use the combination of + - + -  buttons and SpeedBox will be activated. You can easily deactivate SpeedBox in the same way.

Assembly

When connecting the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easy for you. Disassembly of our tuning chip is just as easy. If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are planning to install SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 1 km before the chip is activated.

100 miles on the speedbox2 Gen3 Bosch and error 504 and limp mode. Disappointed that the Speedbox has been made useless by Boschs firmware

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager)Administrator |

Please return SpeedBox back to your seller and ask for SpeedBox 3.0 instead. This will solve your problem.

Andrew

Hi will this keep going into limp mode on my 19 Bosch’ and can Bosch tell it’s been fitted
Is the 3 a better bet

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager)Administrator |

Definitely recommend you SpeedBox 3.0 for Bosch. This is only way how to succesfully avoid the limp mode.

Mike

Can't get the unit installed. Have a Bosch Perforance CX on a Yuba Spicy Curry bike. It's the same motor featured in your 2nd install video for Bosch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=yxlvD0luW58&feature=emb_logo).

Can connect the 4 pin connector just fine but the 2 pin connector will not fit. looking at the connects for the Speed Box 2.0, it is different than the 2 pin connector from the Bosch motor.

Need help!

I purchased speed box 2 for my 2019 trek powerfly with Bosch performance cx line, connecting the cables was no issue ,and when when pressing walk mode I get the 6 mph on the display ,but when I try and pedal I get error code 503 and no drive from the motor.Bike runs fine again when the box is removed .Checked magnet position and that is also correct.

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager)Administrator |

Please try to uninstall SpeedBox and install it back again. Bad contact between connectors can cause 503 error code.

John Degrand

I tried to install the Bosch Speedbox 2, and it went well to plug in the Big 4 pin header. But when I then tried to plug in the small 2 pin connector from the speedbox into my Bosch Performance Line Gen3 engine, it did not fit.
When I then compared the two headers, I saw that the original header from the Bosch engine was slightly different from the one in the speedbox. The speedbox one had 2 notches, the Bosch original one only 1 notch.

Did I have to buy the speedbox 3? Does that one have a different header for the 2 pin connector?

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager)Administrator |

Hi John, please send me some photos to info@speedbox-tuning.com, I'll help you through this.
