SpeedBox for Shimano E8000 Di2 is a process control module which increases the maximum speed of your electric bike from 25 km/h to 50 km/h.

If you do not have lights installed by a certified service technician, the tuning kit is always active from the moment you turn your bike on.

If you have lights on your ebike, which have been installed by a certified service technician, then you will be able to activate or deactivate your SpeedBox.

Lights on → SpeedBox is deactivated
Lights off → SpeedBox is activated

When the tuning device is active, the speed of the electric bike is correctly displayed up to a speed of 22 km/h. When speeds over 22 km/h are achieved the speed indicator constantly shows 22 km/h. The supplementary assistance of your electric bike switches off when you reach a speed of 50 km/h.

does this also come with the wheel speed sensor part? its not in your displayed photo but it is in the video?

Hi Johnny, not really. We just came up with new solution which wasn't captured in the video back then. It is way easier and quicker than solution with Sigma speed sensor. Now it's just plug and play.

What is the difference between the 2 versions for E8000 with and without Di2??? I have the Di2 display (SC-E8000) but currently mechanical shifters. But plan to upgrade the derailleur/shifter to Di2 as well. Trying to figure out which version would be correct. Thanks.

Pošta Administrator 10. 02. 2019 | 23:14

Hi.

If you have mechanic shifters then go with regular E8000 SpeedBox.

If you have electronic shifters then go with Di2 E8000 SpeedBox.

If you know you will change mechanic shifters for electronic ones thengo with Di2 E8000 SpeedBox because this version is compatible even with mechanic shifters.
