SpeedBox for Shimano Steps E6000 is a process control module which increases the maximum speed of your electric bike from 25 km/h to 50 km/h.

If you do not have lights installed by a certified service technician, the tuning kit is always active from the moment you turn on your bike.

If you have lights on your ebike, which have been installed by a certified service technician, then you will be able to activate or deactivate your SpeedBox.

Lights ON → SpeedBox is deactivated
Lights OFF → SpeedBox is activated

If you prefer to have your lights ON and SpeedBox active at the same time, then do not connect the “Light Con” cable.

So if I want to ride with my lights on then I have to disable the SpeedBox?

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager)Administrator |

Not necessarily. You can also have lights and SpeedBox activated at the same time.

Hi again,,,,I have a speedbox from you, installed on shimano steps E6000 with Di2 automatic shifting.

SInce i install it i am using only manual shifting because automatic shifting changes the gears randomly ( chaotically) .

Before installing the speedbox the automatic shifting worked perfect.

When i ordered the product you advice me this speedbox that is working also with both E6000 with or without Di2.

Can you help me?

Because i see that for Steps E8000 Di2 you have a different speedbox then STeps E8000 no Di2

Do you have any new speedbox tested with DI2 ? Thanks

Hi there will this work with a bike with a Di2 electric shifter? I assume the auto shift would get confused but might work ok in manual shift mode?

Any plans to do a unit that will allow correct speed to be shown like the e8000 version?

Hi Gabe, e8000 and e6000 both display half of actual speed. Please tell me what kind of bike you have. Also tell me whether you have E6000 or E6002 mid drive.

Hi Adam, I was communicating with you on the online chat. Don't know why you went off. I'll help you with this one. Our biggest resellers are Germans, you probably bought SpeedBox from them. However, we're the manufacturer so.. I must make sure you understand how to verify functionality of SpeedBox. You wasn't scammed. We succesfully tuned more than 50000 eBikes already. SpeedBox for Shimano E6000 is not really a problematic. You said that 'Light Con.' cable is disconnected, right? OK. So turn the bike on. When 'Light Con.' cable is disconnected then SpeedBox is always active. So once the bike is ON then you should press no button to activate the SpeedBox. It's active from the start. How to verify that SpeedBox works? Easilly. Take a ride. There will be exact half of actual speed on the display. So when you ride 40 kph you should see 20 kph on the display. Please test it out. Let me know if problem remains. We will definitely solve this problem. Don't worry.
