Revolutionary process-control module

SpeedBox2 for BOSCH is a revolutionary process-control module which  suppresses the speed limiter of your electric bike. After installation and activation of your SpeedBox for Bosch the display will show actual values. Values such as maximum speed, average speed, distance travelled daily and range are displayed correctly.

The SpeedBox2 is activated by briefly pressing the WALK button located at the front of the control panel. After pressing this button, the current speed of 9.9 km/h is displayed on the control panel for about 3 seconds. This means that the SpeedBox2 is activated. When the WALK button is pressed again, the current speed of 2.5 km/h is displayed. This means that the SpeedBox2 is deactivated, and everything works as if the speedbox had never been installed. The supplementary assistance of your electric bike now works up to its original speed limit of 25 km/h.

Hi Jiří,
No firmware updates, the motor was replaced July 2018, (front drive lock nut came loose and damaged the drive shaft splint, otherwise motor was fine).

I purchased the speed box via eBay.

Like I said, everything has been working great until 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager) Administrator 30. 01. 2019 | 17:58

Hi Frank,

who is your eBay seller?

There is more of us, you know.

I could replace it for you too though

because all the SpeedBox sellers are basically our customers.

SpeedBox probably just went faulty, new piece will solve that.

Hi, I’ve had a SpeedBox 2 installed on a Performance CX for just over a year now. It’s been working fine until last week. When it is activated the speed on the Purion display is going up and down really fast even though the actual speed in constant. I’ve had a couple of errors with the speed exceeding 50 MPH (I was doing around 20 MPH). When it’s deactivate everything works correctly. I also noticed the distance is incorrect. When deactivated the mileage compared with my Garmin is correct. When activated the Purion display shows 1 mile to 0.75 miles on the Garmin.

Any advice please?

Hello Frank,

did you update firmware?

Have the bike been through any changes?

Please let's be focused on functionality of SpeedBox.

Did you buy SpeedBox from us?

Will the small (gray) connector fit for a 2019 Bosch Active Line Plus....
I have noticed that Bosch connector from 2018 differ slightly in their layout....any experience fitting these?

Jiří Voldán (Sales Manager) Administrator 18. 01. 2019 | 17:30

Hi Jan,

SpeedBox is compatible with new Active line motors.

You're right though.

Connector is slightly different.

It can be fitted but you must edit the connector little bit.
