What is SpeedBox?
You have surely already noticed that when riding on an electric bike above 25 km / h, the motor of your electric bike automatically shuts off due to the speed limit. If you wish to remove the speed limit of the electric bike, there is nothing easier than installing a tuning part that removes this speed limit. You can achieve higher speeds, and everything is limited only by the pedalling rate. In our experience, it is possible to ride at a speed of up to 40 km/h, 50 km/h and even above 60 km/h with SpeedBox tuning, and that is already a proper speed!
How does e-bike tuning work?
All kinds of e-bikes with mid-drive have a speed limit of 25 km/h, which is set during their production. The motor normally turns off at this speed. By installing our SpeedBox chip you can easily remove this unpleasant speed limit and make your bike go faster. The top speed of your bike will then depend only on your pedaling frequency so that you can enjoy the excitement of your ride to the fullest.
Can I install the tuning chip myself?
The installation of the tuning chip in your e-bike is easy. We use connectors compatible with your e-bike motor, which make SpeedBox a unique device, suitable for installation at home.

What is the difference between SpeedBox 1.0 and SpeedBox 2.0?
The new SpeedBox 2.0 line builds on its predecessor with its technology and design quality, but it has several significant improvements. The SpeedBox 2.0 electric bike tuning eliminates the speed limit, and all the values are displayed correctly, showing the actual speed and correct range of kilometers. The resultant speed of an electric bike with SpeedBox 2.0 installed thus depends only on the pedaling rate and the size of chainrings. Thanks to this, you will be able to ride at any speed - 40 km/h, 50 km/h and above 60 km/h.
SpeedBox 1.0 is a tuning chip, which enables the rider to double the speed limit of the e-bike. When applied, half values of actual speed are shown on your display as well as the distance of your trip. If you ride at a speed of 40 km/h, your display will show 20 km/h. The motor switches off when reaching the speed of 50 km/h (25 km/h is shown on your display).
Can I use SpeedBox for an e-bike that measures in miles per hour (mph)?
Of course, you can. When using a SpeedBox to increase the speed of your electric bike, it does not matter whether you measure the speed in km/h or in mph. This doesn’t apply to older e-bike models with Yamaha PW motors, where we recommend using km/h.
Can I use SpeedBox with S-Pedelec e-bikes, which are limited to the speed of 45km/h?
Unfortunately not, we do not produce tuning chips for such type of e-bikes. We focus our research and development on e-bikes limited to 25 km/h.
Does SpeedBox work with a dual-battery bike (an electric bike with two batteries)?
SpeedBox products function with bikes with the original factory dual batteries without any troubles. However, there could be a problem with batteries installed later. E-bikes with additional redesign are not compatible with SpeedBox products.
How fast can I go with my e-bike? Is SpeedBox limited by the speed of 50 km/h or 99 km/h?
It depends on the tuning chip. When tuning an e-bike with SpeedBox 1.0, you can reach speeds of up to 50 km / h. The new tuning chip - SpeedBox 2.0 has no speed limitations at all. When using it you are limited only by the frequency of pedaling and the size of chainrings. In our experience, it is possible to ride at the speed of up to 40 km / h, 50 km / h and even more than 60 km. The same performance can be achieved by e-bikes with SpeedBox PLATINUM and SpeedBox B-Tuning chips.
Which type of SpeedBox can be used with SpeedBox App?
At present it can be used with SpeedBox B.Tuning chips for e-bikes with Bosh motors. However, we are currently working on the development of SpeedBox B.Tuning chips for motors of other producers.
