SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning brings a unique connection between your e-bike and smartphone. Optimized for performance and ultimate riding enjoyment, it removes the speed limit so you can ride at unlimited speed. With the SpeedBox App, you can track and record all your ride parameters directly on your phone’s display — anytime, anywhere.

How does SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning work?

Activate the tuning either directly in the mobile app or via your e-bike’s display. Short activation of the WALK assist function enables SpeedBox 3.0 — the display shows 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) and you can ride at 40–60+ km/h.

To deactivate the tuning, briefly activate WALK again. The display shows 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the limit resets to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work the same as before installation.

For e-bikes without a classic control unit with WALK assist, use the button combination - + - + to activate/deactivate SpeedBox.

You can set the maximum assistance speed by switching modes in this sequence: Turbo → EMTB → Tour → Eco → Tour → EMTB → Turbo. The current speed limit will be displayed. You can change the limit by briefly pressing WALK or by turning the rear wheel 360°. Mapping: 1.5 km/h → 15 km/h, 2.0 → 20, 2.5 → 25, 3.0 → 30, … 9.9 → 99 km/h. The last displayed limit is saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Important for Bosch 4th gen motors (2020+): After finishing the ride, leave the bike on until 0.0 km/h appears. Remaining time (in minutes) is shown on the display. Then it’s safe to turn the bike off.

SpeedBox App for SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning

SpeedBox App is designed for SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning and connects your e-bike to your phone via Bluetooth. After pairing, you’ll see live data and trip parameters on your phone. Save rides, compare results with friends, and monitor performance — enjoy the ride and check stats later!

SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning works even without the app, but SpeedBox App gives you a complete performance overview. Before ordering, download the app and try the demo to ensure compatibility. For connecting to B.Tuning, your phone needs Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

If you’re installing SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, ride at least 10 km before activating the chip.

Firmware updates & usage tips

• We recommend not updating your e-bike firmware — updates increase the risk of tuning detection.
• Warranty does not apply to malfunctions caused by motor updates.
• For short stops, keep one foot on the pedal to prevent countdown from starting.
• For longer stops, allow at least a partial countdown to run.
• After long rides, countdown can take several minutes — wait until it finishes.
• Do not remove the display before the countdown has finished.
